Overview

Transkript is designed with privacy as a core principle. All audio processing, transcription, translation, and summarization happens entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data. Transkript does not:

• Upload your audio files to any server
• Store your transcriptions on external servers
• Collect usage analytics or tracking data
• Require user accounts or registration
• Access your contacts, location, or other personal information

On-Device Processing

Transkript uses Apple Intelligence, which runs entirely on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. This means:

• All speech-to-text transcription happens locally on your device
• Translation and summarization are processed on-device
• Your audio files never leave your device
• No internet connection is required for core functionality

Storage Options

Transkript gives you full control over where your transcriptions are stored. You can choose from:

• Local Only: Stored only on this device, not synced anywhere
• iCloud Drive: Synced across your Apple devices via iCloud
• Custom Folder: Store in any folder, including cloud-synced folders like OneDrive, Proton Drive, or Dropbox

Your data:

• Is only accessible by the Transkript app (and the sync service you choose)
• Can be deleted at any time by you
• Is included in your device backups (if enabled)
• Is never transmitted to Transkript's servers — we have none

Recording with Voice Memos

Transkript works seamlessly with Apple's Voice Memos app (or any recording app of your choice). Simply record your audio in Voice Memos, then share the file with Transkript for transcription.

• All transcription processing happens entirely on your device
• Voice Memos recordings remain under your control
• No audio is ever transmitted to external servers by Transkript

Third-Party Services

Transkript does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The only external service used is Apple's App Store for distribution.

Children's Privacy

Transkript does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is designed for general audiences and contains no features targeted at children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
