Quick Tip: Place your subtitle file in the same folder as your video with the same name (e.g.,
movie.mp4 and movie.srt). Most video players will load it automatically!

VLC Media Player EASIEST
Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android- Open your video in VLC
- Go to Subtitle β Add Subtitle File...
- Select your SRT or VTT file
- Done! Subtitles appear immediately
Pro Tip: To permanently embed subtitles, use VLC's Convert feature: Media β Convert/Save β Add subtitles

- Open your video file (drag & drop or File β Open)
- Click the Subtitles tab
- Click Import Subtitle and select your SRT file
- Check "Burn In" to permanently embed subtitles
- Choose output format and click Start Encode
